Cartagen Opens New Applications
Laboratory
Expansion of Cartagen Enables Greater
Support of Customers
SEATTLE, WA - August 1, 2005 - Cartagen
Molecular Systems, Inc. announced the
expansion of their Seattle-based headquarters
with the opening of an applications laboratory.
Commencing operations of an applications
lab enables Cartagen to broaden their
ability to provide customers with applications
support of their new and existing nucleic
acid extraction and purification kits.
“Our applications laboratory enables
us to better serve our customers,”
remarked Steven Kirsher, President and
CEO of Cartagen. “Our products,
including the innovative Rapid Homogenization
Kits, have many applications which can
be further expanded upon and passed onto
our customers. This is made possible with
our expanded facilities.”
In addition to developing further applications
of existing Cartagen products, the new
applications lab will serve to generate
key data to support products in development
as well as enable the company to troubleshoot
customer samples when necessary. Applications
development and support is recognized
by Cartagen’s management as being
vital to the continued growth of the company.
Cartagen Molecular Systems, Inc. was
founded in early 2003 to manufacture and
sell innovative reagent kits for life
science research. Based in Seattle, Washington,
