Strategic Partnership to Address the Needs
of the Japanese Life Science Market.
SEATTLE, WA- March 9, 2004- Cartagen
Molecular Systems, Inc. announced today
that it has entered a strategic partnership
with Entest Japan, Inc. to develop a market
presence for Cartagen’s nucleic
acid separation products in Japan. Founded
in 1996, Entest Japan has successfully
developed bacterial test kits for the
food and water industry. Entest Japan’s
Colitag™ test recently received
regulatory approval from the Japanese
Ministry of Health, Welfare and Labor
and will be a key tool in ensuring the
safety of food and water supplies. Entest
Japan has also worked closely with the
Japanese government to develop innovative
products for the newly emerging drug forensics
market. Entest Japan’s drug analysis

results in the environmental and drug
analysis markets and is eager to expand
into the general life science research
market" said Steven Kirsher, Cartagen’s

life scientists to perform selected key
techniques and methods which increase
the pace of their research.
“Cartagen’s new DNA Extraction

agriculture and GMO testing laboratories”
said Tohru Mikoshiba, President of Entest
Japan. “Cartagen’s product
line offers Entest Japan expansion opportunities
to support a broader life science market,
creating additional value for our customers.”
The strategic partnership formed by Cartagen
